Symphonie is designed to "phone home" as little as possible in the course of normal operation.
An exception is some minor user metrics collected once the application has been closed. This includes, among others, the songs that were opened1, any typos made when attempting to open a Bible reference, and the user configuration (such as the fonts or themes used). This data is used to improve Symphonie, assist in development, and determine when and how often breaking changes can be made.
No personal information is collected, except what is needed to categorize this telemetry by each individual installation. This includes, among others, the Windows (or macOS) username, a UUID unique to the installation, and the hostname.
When downloading content from Symphonie's remote servers, no data is collected except what is usually collected in a normal web request; i.e. the IP address the request originated from and what content was downloaded.
If Symphonie encounters an error or unexpected situation, data may be transmitted to a third-party service (Sentry) that monitors and stores these errors. Only the kind of personal information enumerated above is transmitted; the rest of the data consists of technical information that will be used for investigating the problem.
No other data is ever transmitted or otherwise shared with third parties.
Continued use of Symphonie implies consent to the above policy.
Only the song number and title is collected; no lyrics, comments, or other data is collected.
